Practical phenomics for plant scientists
The Rife Lab is a team of researchers at Clemson University focused on developing the next generation of tools to effectively collect and manage phenotypic and phenomic data for plant breeding and genetics research. We work with scientists to design novel solutions that allow breeders to efficiently develop the improved crops necessary to feed a growing global population.
We strive to share our research with the broader scientific community, prioritizing transparency, rigor, and reproducibility.
We design, develop, and validate tools that are used by thousands of breeders across diverse plant species. All of our software, tools, and datasets are freely available and openly licensed.
We are a growing team of enthusiastic researchers that are designing the future of data in plant breeding and genetics. We aim to build an inclusive environment for research, and recognize the value of diversity in the process of discovery.
